About Artwork:
Dot as Seed belongs to Grammar of Symbols, a series examining how symbols of Human Garden begin to function through relationships and structures.
In 12 Inner Symbols, the Dot exists in its most compressed state: impulse, beginning and potential. Here, the same symbol enters a different condition. Positioned at the origin of a growing structure, the dot begins to act as a seed.
Roots extend downward. A stem rises. Leaves unfold. Other points appear throughout the structure and surrounding field. The isolated symbol becomes generative: what was held as potential begins to organise space around itself.
The dot itself has not changed. What changes is its relationship with everything around it.
This shift is central to Grammar of Symbols. A symbol does not carry meaning only through its form. Its function can change through position, connection, repetition, scale and context. Here, the Dot operates as an origin from which a larger visual structure develops.
The seed is a point from which structure begins.
Through this transformation, Dot as Seed moves the Dot from symbolic vocabulary into visual grammar — from what the symbol means to what the symbol does.
