About Artwork:
This work explores the hidden architecture through which experience becomes structure.
Rather than depicting a botanical leaf, Living Network presents a magnified map of lived experience. Its branching pathways trace the movement of a life as it develops through encounters, choices, interruptions, repetitions, and change.
The lines do not follow a single predetermined route. Some continue and strengthen, others divide, narrow, change direction, or disappear. Their varying density and thickness suggest different intensities of experience — paths repeatedly travelled, possibilities briefly entered, directions abandoned, and movements that gradually become established within identity. Bright white nodes punctuate these routes as significant events: moments of encounter, decision, rupture, connection, or transformation that alter what comes after them.
Within this network, recurring symbols — dots, groups of dots, waves, spirals, and other forms from the visual language of Human Garden — operate not as illustrations of particular memories, but as markers of states, movements, and relationships within the larger system.
The black contour separates this dense internal landscape from the blue surrounding field, while scattered forms beyond the leaf keep the structure in exchange with its environment: experience is shaped internally, but never in isolation.
Through naive symbolism and emotional cartography, the painting proposes that identity is not formed by a single defining event, but through accumulated routes of experience. Structure is not static — it is a living memory continuously rewritten by the paths a life takes.
