In this section, I establish the symbolic vocabulary of Human Garden through twelve recurring signs, each examined as an independent visual and archetypal structure.
Together, the twelve works create a symbolic system through which states of beginning, movement, connection, transformation, containment and release can be read across Human Garden world. The same signs reappear throughout its paintings, objects and other project forms, carrying meaning from one work to another.
The series is accompanied by the Atlas of Inner Symbols, developed within the method of Emotional Cartography in Naive Symbolism.
